If you are exporting your car, we offer additional services to make the entire process—from purchase to delivery—as simple as possible. We assist you with obtaining temporary license plates, export documents, Euro-1 certificates, and more.
Export License Plates
If you wish to drive your newly purchased car home, this can be done easily. In this case, we offer the option to acquire temporary license plates or customs plates.
The following license plates are available:
- Temporary license plates (valid for 5 days)
- Customs plates (valid for 30 days)
- Dutch export license plates (valid for 14 days)

Export Documents
For export outside the European Union, an export document is required. This document must be requested for vehicles that will cross the EU borders.
You will receive an export document with an international reference number (also known as the MRN code).
The export document will be scanned at the border when leaving the EU, and you will receive a confirmation via email.
Euro-1 Document
The EU has trade agreements with several countries outside the Union. These agreements allow foreign buyers to benefit from import advantages, such as reduced or waived customs duties. This makes it attractive for customers from these countries to purchase a European vehicle.
If all conditions are met, this must be proven to the authorities of the destination country using the so-called EUR-1 movement certificate.
